Rocks and Shells

Too cute, huh? I made these little Rock Critters. My students, the most challenged students, love them. One student of mine who has autism calls them Rocks and Shells and if you can believe it, we used it as a reinforcer to help him become toilet trained! Another student of mine who came from a challenging home life made up several stories about these guys, whom he called, Big Ears and Little Ears. He worked hard for me and then he earned time to play with these Rock Critters. Who knew rocks and shells collected while I let my crazy dog run at the beach would be so fascination. I have to admit, they are pretty cute :)
